Important Information Below – Please Read!!
START LISTS: Attached to the file (paper clip) in this announcement are the start lists for Slopestyle 1, Slopestyle 2 and Rail Jam 1. I will also post them in the start list section of Stack Team App. Please check these lists to make sure you are listed for the events you would like to compete in. If you notice your bib number is incorrect, email
rvgsnow@gmail.com with your bib number. There are a few athletes who I have already assigned bibs to and they will be able to pick up these bibs at morning check-in.
WAIVER: ALL Athletes MUST sign a waiver. The digital waiver is no longer available. Athletes who did not sign the digital waiver will need to show up at morning check-in to sign a hard copy or you will be unable to compete. If you are unsure if you signed the digital waiver and want confirmation, please email
rvgsnow@gmail.com .
LIFT TICKETS: Discounted lift tickets are available to athletes and family for $55. Lift tickets will be sold during morning check-in from 7:30am – 8:30am in the Valley View Room. Payment for lift can either be cash or check (made out to Bill Van Gilder). Credit cards will be accepted. The price will be $56.53 to include service fees.
BIBS: We will be using the Wild Mike’s Ultimate Pizza bibs for this competition. Please bring your bibs from last year if you have them. If you are new and do not have a bib, you will be given one at no cost during morning check-in. If you lost your bib and need a new one, please log into Stack Team App/Mid-Atlantic and go to the store and purchase a replacement for $20. You will show this receipt at morning check-in to receive a new bib.
MORNING CHECK-IN: Only athletes who need the following will need to show up at morning check-in: Bib (If you need a new bib or a replacement), Purchase a lift ticket, Sign a paper waiver or have questions regarding the events. Morning Check-in is from 7:30am – 8:30am and will be held in the Valley View room which is the building behind guest services, above Ski Patrol. Attached is a diagram. The building to the right of the picture with the crosswalk is Guest Services. You will see bus lanes to the right. You will walk towards the mountain and where the red box is there are steps which lead up to the valley view room. See attached photo
SPECTATORS: Spectators must be on skis or snowboard to watch the competition. No walkers will be allowed.
LIFTS: Athletes will take The Glen Lift to access the course. This lift will open at 8:30am. Best way to get to this lift is to walk out of morning check-in onto the snow and go left. You will walk until you are at the top of the beginner slope, Sunbowl. At the bottom of Sunbowl to the right is The Glen Lift. It is a double chair that will take you over the course.
EVENT TRAIL: Both Slopestyle events and the Rail Jam will take place on Rhododendron Glen . Here is a link to Camelback’s trail map:
https://www.camelbackresort.com/resources/trail-map/PARKING: There are various parking lots at Camelback and shuttles that will take you to the main lodge where guest service is located so you can walk behind to the Valley View room for morning check-in if needed.
