RoundTop Updates: Slalom and Giant Slalom Feb. 11th and 12th

ATTENTION ATHLETES!!
Registration closes at Midnight tonight, Wednesday February 8th for the RoundTop Slalom and Giant Slalom races. Be sure to register now! Make sure you check that you are registered for the races you want to compete in. There will be NO registration after today, February 8th! Please log onto usasa.org and click on Competitions_RegionalCompetitions_RegionalSeriesCalendars. From here you will select Mid-Atlantic, All Months and All Disciplines and you will see all races to register for. Each event is $30. We are holding 3 Slalom races on Saturday and 3 Giant Slalom races on Sunday.

WAIVER: ALL Athletes MUST sign a waiver to race. Only 1 waiver is needed for the entire weekend. The waiver is attached to this announcement. Please print and sign and bring to morning check-in. There will be extra copies at morning check-in if needed.

ATHLETE LIFT TICKETS: Discounted lift tickets are available to athletes for $55. Athletes will go to the main ticket window in the village to purchase your discounted lift ticket.

COACH LIFT TICKETS: If you are a current USASA coach and need a lift ticket for the day, You will need to email rvgsnow@gmail.com with the following information by Thursday, February 9th: USASA member Number, First and Last Name and which day/days you need a ticket. How to pick up your lift ticket is TBD (Details to come later this week.)

BBQ Lunch: The SRRC (Ski RoundTop Race Club) parents put on an amazing spread of food for all athletes, staff, coaches, friends and family. We ask that you please bring cash as a donation for this lunch spread. If you don’t have cash, not to worry, the SRRC parents can take Venmo or PayPal. Believe me, you will not be disappointed, or hungry. Please support SRRC and the families who dedicate their time to making this weekend so memorable.

PARKING: Best place to park is the tubing parking lot and walk to the bottom of the race course (Exhibition). There is a small building (competition center) which is where the finish will be, lunch and awards.

SCHEDULE: Same for both Saturday and Sunday

7:30am – 8:30am Morning Check-in for All Athletes – Waiver drop-off/sign, Bib pick up for those who need a bib, Volunteer (gatekeeper) check-in. Location: Competition Center located at the bottom of race hill (Exhibition). Easiest access is to park at the tubing parking lot and walk to the bottom of the course.
8:30am – 9am Course Inspection (Exhibition)
9:10am Rider’s meeting at the top of the course (Exhibition)
9:20am Race 1 (Race 2 immediately following)
~ 11:30am – 12:15pm Quick course reset and 1 run inspection for race 3
~12:30pm Race 3
~2pm Awards Ceremony and Raffle Giveaway
This schedule is tentative. Once we have the total number of athletes racing, we will be able to update this schedule accordingly.

Start lists will be posted on Friday, February 10th for all 6 races.
